Al Munawarah, another unique mosque in Sentul City

Masjid Jami Al Munawarah is a mosque with unique architecture design in the center of Sentul City, Bogor - Indonesia. It is exactly on the road Baliraya, Sentul City, Babakanmadang District, Bogor.

Usually, we will find doors in every mosque, but Al Munawarah mosque has no entrance. It is designed without walls and doors. In addition, this mosque is located between the mountains and the river, making this mosque look beautiful.

The cool atmosphere with breeze will be felt when you enter the mosque.

"Yes, when the mosque was being built, the foundation and the architects saw that the landscape of the mosque is among the beauty and power of Allah, surrounded by mountains and rivers, as in Al An Aam verse 99," said Ubaidillah Mz, a part of Al Munawarah caretaker.

"And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe."

"From the verse, it is clear that Allah has created heaven and earth and its contents for people who want to think and believe in Allah so that it can be used well" He added.

The three-storey mosque has two bathrooms and two ablution places downstairs, while the second and third floors are used for prayer. Uniquely this mosque has a roof shape like a blooming flower. Even in the night, this mosque shines brightly that emits light from the sidelines of the roof shaped like a blooming petal flower.

"When designig, the architecture saw that this mosque would be in the natural environment, so it was inspired him to make it like a blooming flower. This means that this mosque will continue to develop and continue to bloom"he said.
