Hanum Salsabiela Rais is the daughter of Muhammad Amien Rais and Kusnasriyati Sri Rahayu. Hanum was born in Yogyakarta city and attended Muhammadiyah basic education in Yogyakarta. After Hanum finished her basic education, she went on to study at FKG UGM. Until Hanum got the title as a Dentist from UGM FKG. Hanum started her career as a journalist and presenter on TRANS TV.

At the beginning Hanum began her wandering in the European continent with a husband who received a scholarship from the Austrian Government for S3 studies at WU Vienna. Hanum lived in Austria with her beloved husband Rangga Al-mahendra. Then Hanum worked on the Executive Academy podcast video project at WU Vienna for 2 years.
